Use a soft measuring tape and measure over light clothing, keeping it snug but not tight. All measurements are in inches.

Body measurement

Measure directly on the body over light clothing, keep tape flat, and avoid pulling tight.

1. Shoulder — Measure straight across the back, from the edge of one shoulder to the other, where a sleeve seam would sit.
2. Chest — Wrap the tape around the fullest part of the chest and shoulder blades, keeping it level all the way round.
3. Waist — Measure around the natural waistline, just above the navel, leaving a finger's width of ease.
4. Waistcoat length — Measure from the base of the collar at the back straight down to where the waistcoat should end, usually at the hip.
